The Black Phonen ohjaaja haluaa tehdä jatkoa, mutta ei ilman Ethan Hawkea

Scott Derricksonin The Black Phone osoittautui yllättäväksi menestykseksi. Ethan Hawke pääosassaan budjettia oli 17 miljoonaa dollaria, mutta tuottoa kertyi 161 miljoonaa dollaria.

Blumhouse olisi tietysti kovin kiinnostunut jatko-osasta, ja ohjaaja itsekin haluaisi sellaisen tehdä, mutta ei ilman Ethan Hawkea. Asiasta kertoi Comic Book.

"I can tell you this much, I wouldn't make a Black Phone sequel without Ethan. I don't think there'd be any point in doing that."

The Black Phonen pohjalla on Stephen Kingin pojan Joe Hillin novelli, ja Hill itsekin olisi ihan innokas jatkolle.

"There have been talks about how to do a sequel that wouldn't suck. How to do a sequel that doesn't cheapen the film that came before, that's still scary, that's still intense, that feels organic."
