Naughty Dog ei välttämättä tee peliä The Last of Us: Part III

Naughty Dogin pomo Neil Druckmann on tehnyt selväksi, että Uncharted on taakse jäänyttä elämää, ja että sama pätee myös The Last of Usiin. Poikkeuksen tekee tilanne, jossa The Last of Usiin ilmaantuu niin hyvä tarina, että kolmas peli kannattaa tehdä. Asiasta kertoi Buzzfeed.

"I know there's a bunch of people wondering about The Last of Us Part 3 and whether that will be a thing or not. All I could say is, at Naughty Dog we're very, very privileged that our publisher is Sony — which means Sony funds our games, supports us, and we're owned by Sony."

Druckmannin mukaan Sony ei ole koskaan painostanut Naughty Dogia tekemään uutta osaa menestyneeseen pelisarjaan. Näin tapahtui Unchartedille: se tarina on kerrottu.

"--- able to put our final brushstroke on that story and say that we're done. We're moving on."

The Last of Us on niin ikään Naughty Dogin käsissä.

"Likewise, with The Last of Us, it's up to us whether we want to continue it or not."
