Microsoft sulkee Lionheadin, Fable Legends peruutettu

Xbox-valmistaja Microsoftin peliosasto ilmoitti iltapäivällä sulkevansa kaksi pelistudiota ja vetämällä piuhan kaikista niiden projekteista.

Kuuluisa Peter Molyneuxin perustama Lionhead Studios sulkee ovensa, joten Black and White sekä Fable-sarja jäävät sen viimeisiksi. Fable Legendsia ei enää aiota julkaista ollenkaan. Studion edellinen peli, Fable: The Journey, sai murska-arviot ja samalla studion parhaat voimat alkoivat siirtymään muualle töihin.

Tanskalainen Press Play kokee saman kohtalon. Studio oli vastuussa Max and the Magic Marker- ja Max: The Curse of Brotherhood -peleistä ja tulossa oli työnimi Project Knoxvillenä tunnettu peli. Lionheadin työntekijät käyvät vielä neuvotteluita mahdollisista uudelleensijoituksista, mutta Press Playn väelle on näytetty tylysti ovea.

These changes are taking effect as Microsoft Studios continues to focus its investment and development on the games and franchises that fans find most exciting and want to play.
