Microsoft ei ole kertonut loppuun Gears 5:n tarinaa

Microsoft ja The Coalition ovat päättäneet, että seuraava Gears of War vie tarinan aivan sinne alkuun eli E-Dayn tapahtumiin, jolloin Locust-hirviöt maan alta hyökkäsivät ihmisten kimppuun Sera-planeetalla. Gears 5:n tarina on kuitenkin sekin vielä kesken.

Xbox Wiren mukaan se Gears 5:n tarina jatkuu kuitenkin tulevaisuudessa.

"The team is content with the stories told in Gears 4 and Gears 5 and is by no means abandoning them, but the collective passion for such an iconic origin story was simply too great to ignore. The story of E-Day and the origins of Marcus and Dom are such powerful, pivotal events that The Coalition couldn't wait to tell it."

Merkkien mukaan tulee kuitenkin varautua siihen, että se Gears 5:n tarina jatkuu vasta jossain hyvin kaukaisessa tulevaisuudessa.
