Dead Space 3:n käsikirjoittaja tekisi koko pelin uudestaan pelkän uusintaversion sijasta

Dead Space 3 teki aikoinaan hyvin selvän irtioton verrattuna siihen, mistä pelisarja tuli tunnetuksi. Aiemmin tänä vuonna Motive teki uusintaversion siitä alkuperäisestä Dead Spacesta. Jos Dead Space 3:n käsikirjoittaja Chris Beaver saisi päättää, tehtäisiin Dead Space 3 uusiksi tarinaa myöten, eikä siis pelkästään vain uusittuna versiona.

Chris Beaver istahti puhumaan asioista CaptainBribo-podcastissa, ja asiasta raportoi PC Games N.

"Now in this [Dead Space] remake territory I would redo Dead Space 3 almost completely, but I would keep the lore beat it's predicated on, keep the lore you find out, and I would have Ellie there but in a different relationship [with Isaac] and redo the entire main story."

Beaver poistaisi kolmiodraaman Isaac, Ellie ja Robert painottaen enemmän ensimmäisen Dead Spacen "rikki menneen" isaacin tarinaa. Kyse olisi hieman samasta kuin Klonkulla The Lord of the Ringsissa.

Dead Space 3 halusi laajentaa uusiin lajityyppeihin. Seurauksena mukaan ei saatu uusia pelaajia, ja vanhatkin menetettiin.

"The plan [with Dead Space 3] was that we'd expand into other gameplay genres. All those bits together not only didn't generate a new audience, they lost the old audience. We weren't allowed to make a horror game from the beginning."
